RELATIONSHIP TESTING

Twins Testing
Are you my identical or fraternal twins?

Approximately one in every 50 Americans is a twin. Tests to determine whether twins are identical or fraternal are often wrong when done at delivery. Unless a DNA or blood tests is performed it is difficult to determine whether twins are identical or fraternal. Boston Paternity provides an affordable service to determine whether twins are identical or fraternal.

Sibling Study
Are you my brother?

Siblingship DNA tests are designed to determine if two or more individuals have common parents. DNA samples from both alleged siblings are required for the test. Testing the parents also increases the accuracy of the test. This test is particularly useful when trying to find siblings who were separated because of adoption.

Grandparent Study
Help identify my father.

In circumstances where an alleged father is unwilling or unavailable for paternity testing, the alleged father's parents can be tested to determine whether they are the true biological grandparents of the child. The most accurate results are obtained when both grandparents are tested.   If both grandparents are not available, the test can be performed using only one grandparent. The Grandpaternity test should only be performed if a normal paternity is not available.

Maternity Study
Are you my mother?

DNA testing can be used to confirm the biological relationship between a mother and child.  The testing follows the same principles as in paternity testing.  This test is often useful in cases were a child has been separated by adoption or there is a concern that the baby was switched at birth.
